'Green 100' initiative brings SMEs into sustainability reporting
Reporting will be done for free using the new TR 149:2026 framework.
Council for a Competitive Climate Transition (C3T) has launched the Green 100 initiative to help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) begin sustainability reporting and capability development.
Under the programme, participating large enterprises, referred to as “Queen Bees”, will each invite at least 100 SMEs within their supply chains and business networks to begin sustainability reporting.
The smaller firms will undertake basic disclosures aligned with the TR 149:2026 framework at no cost.
The new framework was launched by Enterprise Singapore through the Singapore Standards Council and allows companies to assess and track their sustainability maturity across four levels.
SMEs can register through the Green100.sg website or through invitations sent by participating companies.
They will then be directed to Gprnt’s digital platform to complete a simplified sustainability disclosure aligned with the ‘Essential level’ of the TR 149:2026 framework.
Firms that complete the disclosure will receive a digital badge on the platform, whilst SMEs requiring additional support may access training and advisory services through the Singapore Business Federation (SBF).
Meanwhile, the initiative’s future phases will build on the ‘Essential’ level and support companies in progressing towards the higher levels, namely ‘Bronze’, ‘Silver’, and ‘Gold’.
The C3T, co-chaired by the National Climate Change Secretariat and SBF, will continue working with ecosystem partners to support wider industry participation in the initiative.
Green 100 is supported by Gprnt and the Singapore Environment Council.
