The Medical City South Luzon triumphs at ESGBusiness Awards 2024

The Medical City South Luzon (TMCSL) has clinched the Healthcare Services Award - Philippines at the ESGBusiness Awards 2024, a testament to its unwavering commitment to community well-being and innovative healthcare solutions. This prestigious recognition highlights TMCSL’s steadfast dedication to enhancing public health through a wide range of impactful programmes and services.
Since its inception in 2017, TMCSL's "1Community 2gether" Program has been a cornerstone of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts, effectively reaching numerous communities with meaningful interventions. The hospital’s response during the COVID-19 pandemic stands out as a beacon of leadership.
The establishment of the Complex of Hope, a pioneering treatment facility for COVID-19 patients, not only positioned TMCSL as a reliable referral center in Santa Rosa but also underscored its role in combatting the pandemic’s challenges. This innovative spirit extended beyond the pandemic with the introduction of Mobile Clinics, Drive Thru Labworks, and Home Services, all of which continue to serve the community’s evolving needs.
In 2024, TMCSL further advanced its community engagement with the launch of Healthcare at Home (H.O.M.E), enhancing its outreach and partnership programmes. The hospital's community involvement includes sponsoring and participating in various family-centred events like Easter Egg Hunts, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day Celebrations, and School Family Days. These events not only foster a sense of community but also integrate health and wellness promotion into everyday life. Through its Health Caravans, TMCSL has provided essential health talks on pertinent issues such as Pertussis, heart health, and physical rehabilitation, reaching over 2,700 individuals and families.
TMCSL’s dedication to community outreach is evident in its extensive CSR activities. Notable initiatives include mass blood donation drives, support for people living with HIV through the Red Gala, and collaboration with the Mabuhay Deseret Foundation to offer free cataract surgeries. The 2nd Friendship Cup Golf Tournament, which raised Php 100,000 for the Women and Children Crisis Center, further exemplifies TMCSL's commitment to giving back. Additionally, the "Baon-Serye" program, launched in partnership with the Department of Pediatrics, underscores the hospital’s commitment to child nutrition and healthy eating habits.
In a significant milestone, TMCSL’s cardiovascular programme also achieved Philhealth Z Benefit package accreditation for Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG) in Laguna, marking a first for the region. This accreditation, coupled with local government subsidies, enhances access to critical care for residents. Moreover, TMCSL’s status as the first Philhealth Konsulta accredited facility in Santa Rosa underscores its role in providing high-quality, government-subsidised health assessments.
