AgriS wins two awards at ESGBusiness Awards 2025
The company was recognised for its net-zero and sustainable agriculture initiatives in Vietnam.
AgriS (Thanh Thanh Cong - Bien Hoa JSC, HOSE: SBT) won Net-zero Award - Agriculture and Sustainable Agriculture Award - Vietnam in the ESGBusiness Awards 2025.
The company was recognised for its AgriS Circular Commercial Value Chain, a strategy that embeds environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles across the entire agricultural value chain. Through this initiative, AgriS seeks to balance economic growth with environmental protection whilst advancing Vietnam’s agricultural economy.
In 2024, the company launched three dedicated centres that correspond to each stage of the value chain: Agriculture Centre (AgrC), Production Centre (ProC), and Commercial Centre (ComC). These hubs integrate AgTech, FoodTech, and FinTech to optimise resources, minimise environmental impact, and drive value creation across sugarcane, coconut, banana, pineapple, and rice production.
AgriS also advances its Net Zero 2035 target through renewable energy and carbon reduction initiatives. All factories now operate on biomass fuels, and several biomass plants earned international certification for renewable electricity. The company also captures and reuses carbon emissions from its operations and commits to planting 10 million trees by 2035 to further offset its footprint.
Beyond environmental action, the initiative delivers socio-economic value by sustaining thousands of jobs and supporting farming households across its supply chain. Farmers also benefit from sustainable methods, such as bio-integrated pest control and organic fertilisers, which strengthen yields and resilience.
With a leading 46% share of Vietnam’s domestic sugar market and exports reaching 69 countries, AgriS continues to raise the profile of Vietnamese agriculture on the global stage. Its ESG performance score of 92% in FY2023-2024 underscored this commitment, securing the company a place in the VNSI20 Index for seven consecutive years.
