Personal Collection Direct Selling, Inc. wins two awards at the ESGBusiness Awards 2025
The company received recognition for its biodegradable packaging solution and its #GreenLifeGreatLife Movement.
Personal Collection Direct Selling, Inc., one of the leading direct selling companies in the Philippines, was lauded in two categories at the ESGBusiness Awards 2025 – Green Packaging Solution Award - Philippines and Initiative Award - Philippines for Environmental Impact. The recognition highlights the company’s sustained commitment to embedding sustainability into its products and operations, creating measurable impact for the environment and the communities it serves.
In 2021, Personal Collection Direct Selling, Inc. shifted from recyclable to biodegradable packaging, marking a first in the Philippine direct selling industry. At a time when most businesses were focused on navigating pandemic-driven uncertainty, the company invested millions of pesos to integrate biodegradable additives into its bottles and caps. Tested and certified by Intertek, this packaging breaks down faster under landfill conditions, thereby reducing its long-term environmental burden.
Since its adoption, 87% of the company’s product portfolio now comes in biodegradable containers, helping prevent more than 7,900 tons of plastic waste from lingering in the environment. This is a crucial step in addressing the realities of waste management in the Philippines.
Alongside this, Personal Collection Direct Selling, Inc. also strengthened its #GreenLifeGreatLife Movement, a long-term environmental initiative. The programme embeds sustainability into all levels of the organisation and extends its reach into communities through awareness drives, clean-up campaigns, and tree-planting activities. The movement reflects the company’s aim of creating a “Future Made Great” by linking everyday consumer choices with measurable ecological outcomes.
To date, 291,000 mangroves and trees have been planted nationwide, achieving more than half of the target of 500,000 by 2027. Its cleanup activities have already collected 245.62 tons of waste, more than doubling the programme’s 2027 goal. These results were driven by active participation from employees, dealer networks, and local communities.
The #GreenLifeGreatLife Movement also achieved broad visibility, generating PHP46.29m in media mileage and reaching over 148.6 million people through digital sustainability campaigns. Beyond external impact, it embeds environmental responsibility within the company’s culture and operations, ensuring sustainability is not a side project but a defining principle of its business.
Personal Collection Direct Selling, Inc. continues to work toward its goal of 100% biodegradable packaging across its product portfolio by 2027, whilst scaling up nationwide reforestation and waste recovery efforts. These awards underscore its efforts to transform the way consumer products are designed, distributed, and consumed in the Philippines.
