Amongst the winners of the inaugural ESGBusiness Awards last year was UOB Malaysia Bhd, which took home accolades for the Workplace Wellness Programme Award - Malaysia and the Renewable Energy Financing Programme Award - Malaysia.
Moreen Joseph, the Chief Sustainability Officer of UOB Malaysia Bhd, discussed UOB’s efforts to champion excellence across the region, saying she is humbled and grateful for the company’s victory.
“I'm encouraged to see more and more companies embarking on ESG. I think what is important is platforms like ESGBusiness Awards [to] give us the sweetener and booster, recognising the efforts that the industry has made. These kinds of boosters inspire us further to strive for excellence and motivate more businesses and companies to embark on this journey,” she said.
