EXL has been honoured with the prestigious Energy Efficiency Retrofit Programme Award - Philippines at the ESGBusiness Awards 2024. This accolade recognises EXL’s forward-thinking initiatives, which have significantly reduced carbon emissions and established it as a leader in environmental sustainability within the industry.
The goal to achieve net zero business by 2045 was publicly launched in 2022. This initiative reflects a deep commitment to combatting climate change through advanced sustainable technologies, energy optimisation strategies, and a greener supply chain. The programme targets Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, with its goals validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), reinforcing the credibility and ambition of EXL’s environmental efforts.
Path to net zero
EXL aims to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2045 through a combination of reduction and offset strategies. This includes adopting innovative sustainable solutions like cloud computing, air-to-water generators, and electric vehicles, which have been key to minimising Scope 3 emissions related to purchased goods, services, and employee commuting.
A critical component of the effort is expanding the use of renewable energy across operations, reducing dependence on fossil fuels. Energy-saving measures have been implemented in all facilities, driving down overall consumption.

Beyond internal reductions, EXL is committed to fostering sustainability throughout its supply chain. Collaborating with key suppliers and working closely with CDP, a global leader in environmental disclosure, EXL actively promotes sustainable practices across its network.
