Eupe Corporation Berhad wins at ESGBusiness Awards 2025 for sustainable high-rise living
The company shows how affordability and sustainability go hand in hand in urban housing.
Eupe Corporation Berhad won the Green Building Award - Malaysia in the ESG Business Awards 2025 for its Helix2 @ PJ South project, an affordable high-rise development that integrates sustainability with modern urban living.
The award marks Eupe’s third win at the ESGBusiness Awards, with its previous projects, Parc3 @ KL South and Est8 @ Seputeh, clinching similar awards.
Helix2 @ PJ South is Eupe Corporation Berhad’s fourth project in Kuala Lumpur and its first affordable high-rise. With units averaging RM550,000, almost half the market rate in the Petaling Jaya area, the project demonstrates that sustainable housing can be both accessible and cost-efficient.

The 34-storey development is designed with Eupe’s “Buildings That Breathe” philosophy, which plays a major role in passively lowering the building’s ambient temperature.
Its orientation and innovative X-shaped tower structure enable 88.59% of units to enjoy natural cross-ventilation and 85% of lift lobbies to remain fresh without artificial cooling. A rooftop garden, combined with native drought-resistant landscaping, cools the building whilst preserving local biodiversity. Landscaping at Helix2 is also 300% more than required by regulations, reconnecting residents with nature whilst reducing energy demand by helping to naturally cool the building.

The project reduces environmental impacts across its construction and day-to day operations. Aluminium formwork minimised waste during construction, and precision engineering achieved a low 0.36 Concrete Usage Index. Above-ground car parks allow natural light and ventilation, eliminating the need for energy-intensive exhaust systems whilst shielding residents from highway noise. Operational features further lower its carbon and chemical footprint: predictive lift maintenance systems prevent breakdowns, energy-regenerative lifts reduce grid reliance, and UV-treated pools cut chlorine use by 99%.
Rainwater harvesting, high-efficiency fixtures, and an innovative drainage system that reduces piping needs by 30% strengthen the project’s water conservation efforts. Together, these measures result in an estimated 54.54% reduction in overall energy and water emissions.
Beyond environmental gains, Helix2 offers 30 integrated facilities, from outdoor fitness decks to co-working lounges, that foster active lifestyles and spaces that encourage connections and well-being. Its strategic location near major highways, schools, medical centres, and retail hubs shortens commutes and further reduces its residents’ daily carbon footprint.
